Arlie was raised on a farm near Baltic, South Dakota and graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Arlie received his law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law in Vermillion, South Dakota in 1973. Arlie has practiced law in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area since that time.
While thoroughly versed in the practice of law, Arlie primarily practices in personal injury and auto accidents, business transactions and disputes, civil litigation and acts as general counsel to several closely held corporations. Arlie has practiced before all federal and state courts in South Dakota.
Arlie’s proudest accomplishments are his three children and six grandchildren. Arlie is also the founding member of Arlie’s All-Stars, a cover band formed in 1975 which has raised over $500,000 for various charities. The band was also given a Music in the Community Recognition Award by the South Dakota Rock and Roll Music Association in 2011.
